 The Dunes, established in 1948, is considered the areas premier Country Club. The club was designed and built on land owned by Myrtle Beach Farms through the vision and efforts of George W. "Buster" Bryan. Bryan gathered a group of Myrtle Beach's leading citizens to form a corporation and build the golf course.

The “Home Hole” at Heather Glen Golf Links offers many challenges. The Par 5, dogleg right, plays 587 yards from the tips. The trouble starts early as the tee shot must avoid the trees lining the right side of the hole, and a large sand trap on the left. A very well-struck tee shot comes with a tough decision: go for it, or lay up?
